LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

The top organ of NFBPC is the National Delegates Conference (NDC), which sits at least once annually to elect the network's National Executive Committees (NEC), and approves policies proposed by the NEC and passes amendments to the Constitution if and when proposed.

The National Executive Committee, comprising of 11 members is elected every three years. It is headed by the General Overseer and provides executive oversight and management of the Network.

Below and directly answerable to the NEC is the elected Regional Executive Committee. For its administrative purposes, NFBPC has divided the country into five regions, namely, Northern region, Southern region, Eastern region, Western region and Central region. Several districts a region, Kampala Region and West Nile are Regions. (See map of Uganda showing regions) Below the Regional Committees are the Provincial Executive Committees, the District Executive Committees and the Sub-County Executive Committees, in descending hierarchical order. All these committees are elected every three years.

DISTRICTS

NFBPC follows the political district demarcation of the country for its strategic planning purposes. However, it sub-divides the regions into provinces, District, Sub counties and parishes, for better planning and ministry. Uganda is divided into 5 Regions, and each Region is divided into Provinces, which comprise a number of districts. Although we use the same geol- political districts as those recognized by government, this fellowship adopted its own Region and Provinces. Kampala, which according to this fellowship is a Province comprising of 5 districts (which are according to government are divisions). Every Municipality has a status of a district due to the number of churches and the influences those churches have over their branches in the rest of the district. Every Town Council has a status of a sub-country, except Kira, which has a status of a district.(See map of Uganda showing regions)

STRUCTURE OF THE REGIONAL LEADERSHIP:

The incumbent General Overseer appoints, with the approval of the NEC, a technical committee of Secretaries/Ministers to oversee the management of specific departments and interest areas of the Network.

The General Overseer also appoints, with the approval of NEC, the Council of Elders, which is a committee of advisors, composed of eminent leaders of the Pentecostal movement to offer advice to the NEC, as the case may be.
